After Dark: Neon Nights Recap
After Dark: Neon Nights brought the energy, creativity, and spirit of New York City to life in a powerful celebration of art, fashion, performance, photography, and body positivity.
Held at Hit Central in South Brooklyn, Neon Nights continued the evolution of After Dark: The Live Art Show, transforming the stage into a glowing visual experience filled with bold visuals, live artistry, music, movement, and unforgettable runway moments. From the moment guests arrived, the evening was designed to feel like more than a show — it was an immersive art experience where models became living canvases and every performance helped tell the story of confidence, creativity, and self-expression.
The night featured the work of our featured New York artist, Don Henriquez of D.O.N.D.Photos, whose photography helped capture the energy, beauty, and emotion of the After Dark experience. Guests also enjoyed the incredible stem artwork of Ms. Parker NYC, adding another powerful layer of visual art to the evening.
Once again, Molly Hopkins, of Livirae Lingerie in Atlanta, provided her creative designs for the show. This marked Molly’s third After Dark production, and her continued support and artistry have become an important part of the After Dark journey. Her designs helped bring the fashion side of Neon Nights to life while staying true to the show’s mission of celebrating beauty, confidence, and individuality.
Neon Nights also showcased the strength of collaboration behind the scenes and on stage. A special thank you goes to Queen SanTana for her beautiful Shibari work, Nero for his amazing body paint artistry, Asia for her makeup work, and Chrystal for helping with the body foil looks. Thank you to our Creative Director, Tia Siara, for her amazing vision and dedication, and to our Model Coordinator, Sherita, for keeping the back of the house organized, moving, and on track throughout the night.
The evening was hosted by Gabriella Symone, who helped guide the audience through the experience with grace, energy, and presence. Keeping the music and atmosphere alive was Sasha The Glamazon, who served as DJ for the evening and opened the show. She brought her own vibrant energy to the room.
The entertainment helped carry the energy of the night from beginning to end. Queen Zinga delivered a powerful burlesque performance that brought movement, confidence, and stage presence to the Neon Nights experience. Later in the evening, NYC Rapper and Singer, Miss Plumpiana came out to open the second half of the show, bringing her own bold New York energy and helping set the tone for the next act.
We also want to thank our vendor Tonya, who joined us with Bedroom Kandi products, and our sponsors Blick Art Materials, who has donated to each After Dark show and continues to support the creativity and artistry that make this production possible. And J. Elise Tea who provided items for our swag bag and helps with our guest, also want to thank Jeronda, our bartender for the evening, for helping keep the drinks flowing and adding to the guest experience throughout the night.
Each set added a different layer to the Neon Nights experience — from lingerie and cosplay to neon body paint, body foil, Shibari, and live artistic styling. The models brought each look to life with confidence, personality, and power, reminding everyone in the room that the body itself can be a canvas, a statement, and a work of art.
One of the most meaningful parts of the night was seeing the After Dark mission continue to grow. The show remains committed to creating space for curvy, plus-size, and underrepresented models while proving that beauty, fashion, and art are not limited to one body type, one background, or one standard. Neon Nights reminded everyone in the room that confidence is art, the body is art, and every person deserves to be seen.
This New York show marked another major step in the After Dark journey. What began as a local creative vision has continued to expand from the DMV and Baltimore to Philadelphia, Atlanta, and now New York City. Each city has added something special to the movement, and Neon Nights became another unforgettable chapter in that story.
Thank you to every model, artist, performer, designer, photographer, vendor, sponsor, team member, and guest who helped make After Dark: Neon Nights possible. Your support, creativity, and belief in the vision continue to push this show forward.
After Dark is more than a fashion show.
It is more than a photography exhibit.
It is a live art experience.
And Neon Nights proved once again that when we create space for people to be seen, celebrated, and empowered — we create something unforgettable.
